In their adventure trip , Matthieu Bélanger and Loury Lag are taking on a new challenge never before achieved: the ascent of DENALI 6190 m by the North West passage.
Formerly called McKinley , the DENALI is part of the Challenge of 7 Summits which consists in climbing the highest summit of each of the 7 continents.
While the Seven Summits Challenge has been completed hundreds of times since its inception, no one has ever reached each summit without a motor vehicle.
ICARUS PROJECT will use all possible clean and non-motorized means of locomotion to cover the 100,000 km of its world tour!
On foot, by bike, on horseback, in a kayak, sailing, on skis, hydrospeed etc…
A world first!
Climb the 7 summits, without a guide (when the law allows it), in alpine style and join them by all possible non-motorized means. The project will be divided into chapters realized over the years, whose GPS points of departure and arrival will be recorded to ensure the correct connection of all the stages in the end and to make it a real world tour.
The electronic equipment of this expedition is charged by the solar panels Powertec !
