1. How much solar panel power do I need to be self-sufficient?
On average, a typical house consumes around 10,000 kWh of electricity per year. If we assume that you live in an area with good solar exposure, such as the south of France, you’ll need a solar panel system producing around 7 to 8 kWh per day to be totally self-sufficient.
