Faced with this crisis, Powertec decided to take action. Inspired by local initiatives, we have decided to electrify yurt camps in the geographical locations of Yashikul and Skahkdara. Between 2023 and 2024, these two camps will each house 5 dormitory yurts and 1 mess tent, all powered by solar energy.
Impact of the Initiative
Thanks to our solar panels, the yurts will be able to provide a certain level of modern comfort for visiting travelers, while respecting the traditional character of the area. What’s more, the management of these sites will be entrusted to local people, creating new jobs and helping to revitalize the region.
