THE EXPEDITION PROJECT

Limitless, a world tour without motor and for the Earth.

We are Becca and Léandre, creators of the Limitless project, an adventure around the world to inspire and invite people to take part in environmental actions.

We have been traveling the world without motorized assistance for a decade, to learn and help develop environmental projects. We share through texts, photos and videos our experiences and what we learn.
We move on bikes, prototypes in Bamboo on foot, in canoe and sailboat. When we go from one environmental project to another, we must be energy self-sufficient to keep in touch with the outside. You have to be able to orient yourself and record the images that immortalize this extraordinary experience.

Powertec supports us in this magnificent project for the charging of all their electronic equipment!

From Saint Mathieu de Treviers to Perpignan, France

“It had to be a simple 200 km (124 miles) ride. We had both already cycled more than 100 km in one day. We estimated that in 3 days we could fold this 200 km. It did not really go as planned With the counter: a lost wallet, food poisoning, two veiled rims, a young Austrian met in a mud field en route for the tour of Africa and headwind 80km / h practically all the way. In the end, this 5-day trip will have taught us that we have no control over the weather when we are on the road. ”

From Perpignan to Tordières, France

“The trip from Saint Mathieu de Treviers to Perpignan proved to us that we needed stronger rims if we wanted to cross the planet. As we were studying how to fix this, we had a productive week with a big teamwork session and a calculation of our carbon footprint. At the end of our stay in Perpignan, we decided to use this forced stop to experience one of the challenges of the Limitless project, which consists in helping actors in ecological transition in need to develop their project. So we went on foot with our backpacks to Torderes, a small village 26 kilometers from Perpignan, to meet a very inspiring person whose project is to develop a permaculture garden. “

From tordères at Pic de Canigou, France

“While we were living in the service of Florian and his permaculture-inspired garden, we had a 4-day stop. With a volunteer colleague, and our friend, we decided to hike to Pic du Canigou. After conversations about driving or hitchhiking to a starting point closer to the base of the mountain, we decided to do this Limitless and walk to the top from Tordères. The hike took us to dry and warm places with cool and lush mountains, full of water and life. By reconnecting with the changing landscapes, spending time in nature and making our way through the bush when we got lost, the 58.7 km trek reminded us why adventure travel is at the heart of Limitless. “

Crossing the Pyrenees with prototype bamboo bikes

“In January 2019, Léandre found a very demanding route for crossing the Pyrenees by bicycle. His ambition was to do it in reverse, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Atlantic Ocean. On June 23, after seven weeks volunteering at Florian, we embarked on what would be the litmus test for our bikes, our equipment, our physique and our team. Climbing with the bikes on your back or pushing the bikes in hills, the challenge was daunting. Becca, who had no experience in this kind of adventure, took on a hell of a challenge: Make the crossing with several ribs, a strike and to top it all, these rules. Not to mention the regular mechanical problems along the way… but we did it! ”

TEAM TESTIFIES

We carefully choose our equipment for this adventure, so that it is respectful of the environment, resistant, sufficiently compact and light. Powertec solar panels offer us all these criteria, we leave with peace of mind for the Earth!
