By Hélias Millerioux, Alex Marchesseau, Thomas Delfino et Grégory Douillard. Expédition en 4 phases :
Mount Logan’s East ridge 2100M base camp was reached on May 14 using Pulkas to transport the 320KG of equipment (food, camping and mountaineering supplies).
3- Return (CB-Hubert’s Landing).
On May 27, Greg was evacuated for medical reasons. The following days, the three adventurers cross the Canada / USA border but the snow from the Logan glacier gradually gives way to ice and then to endless moraines, a veritable labyrinth of mineral Minos where the drone takes on a cartographic vocation here, to find the route. less energy-consuming to survey, with bags of more than 35KG each.
4- Cataraft (Hubert’s-Flag point, Pacific Ocean).
Hélias and Alex embark for eight days and more than 300 KM across the Chitina rapids and then the Copper river. They dock on June 10 at Flag point.
The loop is complete after 42 days of total immersion in the American “wild”. A trip lived day by day with in mind the irrepressive desire to “get lost” to better “find” internally.
